RN Heavy Duty Ferrules offers a low profile streamline appearance with maximum retention. Suitable for air and water service only. Can not be used for steam services.
Heavy Duty Ferrules General Uses:
Use heavy duty ferrules in conjunction corresponding stems to provide a permanent end connection to rubber industrial hoses.
Function
Generally used for fastening, joining, or reinforcement.
Recommended for use on:
- • Most one and two wire braid reinforced hoses;
- • Fiber reinforced (braided or spiraled) with or without helical wire such as: oil and suction discharge hose;
- •Barge and dock loading and unloading hose;
- • L.P. gas hose;
- •Anhydrous ammonia hose;
- • Acid chemical hose and high pressure air and water hose.
Limitations:
The material of the ferrules is compatible with all materials possible to be exposed. Therefore this includes both – the transferable materials as well as external materials.
Furthermore, use proper equipment to crimp the ferrules onto the assembly. In conclusion, for maximum coupling retention, lock heavy duty ferrule into the hose shank locking collar.
Warnings:
The uses of crimped ferrule / sleeve on a cam and groove fittings to old MIL-C-27487 will result in damage to the hose assembly. Therefore please be aware!
